He loves her, and more than anything, he wanted her to believe in him when he said he was innocent.īut after everything Brie has gone through, one can understand why she would have reservations.īrie told Mel the truth about why she left, and as expected, it was a gut-wrenching and horrific ordeal. He asked her to stay in town after hearing she wanted to leave, and she seemed to be considering it. It's unfortunate as he and Brie were reconnecting again. He's also been more in tune with emotions and displaying them in a way we haven't witnessed before. However, he's also stepped up more as the one who gives sage advice, checks in on others, and made genuine efforts to keep the town afloat in Hope's absence. *Sniff, sniff* I smell trouble in paradise Virgin River.All season, he has harbored this secret about his prognosis. Not to mention, Mel is still having flashbacks of her late ex-husband, Mark ( Daniel Gillies). Mel doesn’t hesitate to offer up her place, but Jack refuses to accept. I won’t give too much away, but something tragic happens (again) that forces Jack to search for temporary housing. But aside from that, the shooting is just another notch in his belt (or so it seems).įrom there, the first episode dives into a typical Virgin River story line, beginning with a graduation party for Ricky (Grayson Maxwell) and transitioning into Mel’s birthday. And Jack is still trying to remember who shot him, since he hasn’t regained his memories from that night. Of course, Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) occasionally refers to his wound, questioning whether he’s well enough to be functioning like a normal human being. To be completely honest, I’m surprised by how little focus there is on Jack’s injury after the first few scenes. ![]() Within minutes, it’s clear that Jack is going to be A-OK. So, what happens in the first new episode of Virgin River? Well, it picks up right where we left off in the previous installment, with paramedics bringing Jack ( Martin Henderson) to the emergency room after he was shot at the bar in the season two finale.
